Finding Out About Our Learners
At the beginning of each year, before Kindergarten classes commence, each enrolling Kindergarten student takes part in an individual session with their classroom teacher.
The purpose is for each child’s teacher to get to know each child and to gather information about their individual learning needs. This assists us to plan learning that best suits each child.
This information gathering meeting is called “Best Start” as it ensures that each child has the best start to their primary school learning journey.
Each session takes 30-40 minutes. This information gathering practice is common to all primary schools in the diocese of Wagga Wagga.
